Originari di Busca, poi in Poirino e in Asti, hanno memorie sicure con Antonino, che fu Alfiere di una compagnia di milizie (21 febbraio 1568) e capitano della colonnella del conte di Camerano (5 gennaio 1589). Un Biagio, morto valorosamente alla battaglia di Parma (1734), capitano nel reggimento fucilieri, aveva sposato Lucrezia, sorella del conte Giuseppe Grimaldi, da Busca. Costui acquistava il feudo di Bellino e se ne faceva investire solidariamente col nipote Giuseppe di Biagio (22 febbraio 1734) con titolo comitale. Di qui il cognome nel conte Giuseppe, che rimasto vedovo di Vittoria Maria Elisabetta Gazzelli di Selve, entrò negli ordini sacri ottenendo di ritenere il feudo, per patente 26 febbraio 1779. Aveva raccolto in Busca un buon museo di storia naturale e di antichità, che donò a Re Vittorio Amedeo III. Suo figlio Luigi (n.
