Famille originaire de Pinerolo avec des souvenirs sécurisés de la fin du XVIe siècle. Giambattista, (né à Pinerolo le 11 avril 1704; décembre à Pinerolo le 16 septembre 1782) fut le premier comte d'Usseaux par investiture le 5 mars 1734. De son fils, le comte Emanuele, est né à Pinerolo le 13 novembre 1779 ce comte Luigi qui, auditeur de guerre et fin versificateur, il laissa une descendance nombreuse, exemple de valeur militaire. En 1859, sept frères étaient au camp, à la mémoire desquels un beau monument du sculpteur Luigi Gariboldi fut inauguré à Borgovercelli en 1903.
