Familia muy antigua, originaria de Tortona, donde Nicola Crozza se unió a ese decurionato en la casa Bonvicino, convocada el 1 de enero de 1480. La agregación se renovó el 11 de enero de 1777 para Felice y sus nietos Giovanni, Felice, Stefano y Giacomo y para el capitán Pietro y Enrico, hermanos.
