Antigua y muy noble familia lombarda, con primera residencia en Lovere, en la zona de Bérgamo, pasó a residir primero en el Véneto y, más precisamente, en Verona y posteriormente se extendió por diversas regiones de Italia y del mundo. En Verona la familia se llamaba De Beni o Dal Ben y está presente allí desde el siglo XV con el matrimonio en 1497 de la noble Bartolomea De Beni o Dal Ben con el noble Nobile Antonio Ridolfi, hijo de Bernardino, nacido en Verona en 1470 .D 'por otra parte, esta familia, en el devenir de las décadas, siempre ha logrado producir una serie de hombres que han hecho famoso su nombre, en el empleo público, en las profesiones liberales y eclesiásticas y en el servicio militar.
