Ancienne et très noble famille italienne du Royaume des Deux-Siciles, de vertu claire et ancestrale, qui s'est répandue dans le monde entier au fil des siècles. La tradition veut qu'il provienne d'un monsieur de Capoue nommé Francesco, secrétaire du roi Carlo Lo Zoppo puis gouverneur de la ville de Sessa à l'époque du roi Robert. À l'époque d'Alphonse de Castille, la famille s'installe en Sicile, s'installant à Palerme et à Messine. Cette noble maison a possédé de nombreux fiefs, parmi lesquels : la seigneurie d'Aliano avec son château, la seigneurie de Calanna avec ses fermes, les terres de Fiumara di Mura, le domaine foncier nommé Lo Fegotto. Elle possédait également le bureau des impôts de Palerme. Au fil du temps, cette famille s'est également distinguée par l'excellence de ses représentants. De nos archives héraldiques : Francesco, juge prétorien en 1476-77 ainsi que conseiller et protonotaire de Palerme en 1489 ;
