Famiglia orginaria di Nervi, luogo noto per la bellezza di natura e mitezza di clima, ora incorporato nella grande Genova. Arricchitasi nel commercio del grano fu ascritta al patriziato genovese il 29 gennaio 1793 in persona di Tommaso quondam Michelangelo. Da lui discendono gli attuali rappresentanti della famiglia. Altro famiglia originaria di Spagna, e trapiantata in Milano da un Garcilaso Vega che militò sotto l'imperatore Carlo V.

Di rosso, al ramo d'alloro di verde fruttifero d'oro posto in banda, attraversato da una spada d'argento, guarnita d'oro, la punta in alto, posta in sbarra; col capo d'oro caricato dell'aquila spiegata di nero, coronata del campo. Cimiero: Un'aquila.

Blasone della famiglia Fravego originaria di Spagna e passata in Milano. Fonte bibliografica: "Dizionario storico blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane estinte e fiorenti" vol.I, compilato dal Comm. G.B. di Crollalanza, edito presso la direzione del giornale araldico, Pisa 1888.
