Herr Christoph Kegel, königlicher Majestät Secretari heirathete 1543 die Geschlechterin Barbara Meutting von Augsburg, wodurch er in die dortige mehrere Gesellschaft kam. Das Augsburger Hochzeitsbuch legt ihm bei einen b. g. gespaltenen Schild, darin vorn eine g. Spitze, hinten am Spalt ein halber # Adler. Die Vettern Alexander und Jacob Kegl erhielten vom K. Karl V. einen Wappenbrief d. d. Monçon 1. Oktober 1533. Hier ist der Schild g. b. gespalten, vorn am Spalt ein halber g.-bewehrter und -gekrönter # Adler, hinten ein g. "Spickel". Helm: g. Spickel zwischen zwei # Flügeln. Decken: # g. b. Binde: # g. (Taf. 56). (Reichsadelsakten, Concept des Wappenbriefes für Andreas Havol, welcher ebenfalls von Monçon datirt ist). Kegel II, Landgerichtsdirektor zu Schlochau Wpr.; dessen Sohn: Gustav Anton K. verm. mit Antonie Nadolny; ältester Sohn: Erich Gustar Julius Michael K. geb. 3. Juni 1874 in Danzig, 1914 Hauptmann im Rheinischen Fussart.-Reg. No. 8
