Il existe une ville de ce nom dans l'arrondissement judiciaire de Bilbao, qui peut être liée à ce nom de famille. À Alza, village de l'arrondissement judiciaire de Saint-Sébastien, il y avait une maison de Miravalles qui arborait les armes suivantes : D'or, avec un arbre sinople, et deux loups sabres, lampasado de gueules, trempés jusqu'au tronc. Sur la base des références des historiens de l'époque et d'autres découvertes par Araldis dans les archives des registres des villes et autres privés, nous pourrions affirmer, mais pas assurer, que ce bouclier ou un autre très similaire, est apparu initialement du 11 au 14. siècle, en particulier lors du repeuplement de la Castille au XIIe siècle, étant l'une des 100 familles à qui la région de Ségovie a été concédée.
