Antiga e nobre família de Hannover, conhecida como Schilden, Schildgen ou Schild, de clara e ancestral virtude, que se espalhou pelo mundo, ao longo dos séculos. Segundo o que se tem vindo a transmitir, descende do organista Antonius Schild († 1635), mencionado pela primeira vez num documento no ano de 1586. Refira-se que a forma original de um apelido nem sempre permaneceu intacta ao longo do séculos com sua ortografia primitiva.
