Antiga e muito nobre família espanhola, de clara e ancestral virtude, espalhada ao longo dos séculos em várias regiões europeias. Na Itália, a família floresceu nobremente, e floresce ainda hoje, em Monterubbiano (Fermo). Ali está documentado, de fato, desde meados do século XV, com um Gabriele, de Ludovico, que em 1461 ocupou o supremo cargo municipal de Magnífico Prior. Vincenzo Secreti (1742-1815), por Francesco Saverio (1693-1760), DIU e Cavaliere Aurato na Universidade de Macerata em 1719, e por Anna Girolama Cagnaroni (1708-1773), em 20 de julho de 1788 foi agregado ao Patriciado de Montalto. Francesco Saverio (1793-1871), de Vincenzo e da Condessa do SRI Maria Gentiloni (1771-1841) de Filottrano (Ancona), com breve do Papa Gregório XVI de 11 de julho de 1843, foi condecorado com a Cruz de Cavaleiro da Ordem Equestre do Speron d'Oro.
