Essa família toma suas origens em Vigone e a fábula, derivando de Giulio Sillano, cônsul em 692 aC. Memórias seguras nos lembram Antonio Sillano, pai de Sillano Francesco, Maria e Chiaffredo, que viveu no final do século XV. Bernardino pertencia a essa família, que era professora de leis e Biella, então senadora do Piemonte (1620) e investida com bens alodiais em Vigone, feudal em 2 de julho de 1623.
