Illustre casato italiano, di chiara ed avita virtù, sorto dall'unione di due nobili famiglie venete: gli Spadiglieri ed i Pozza, di cui tratteremo le gesta araldiche. La famiglia Spadiglieri, un tempo conosciuta anche come Spadilieri o Spadiliero, ha tratto i suoi natali da Vicenza e, secondo quanto ci viene tramandato, fu ammessa al patrio patriziato, per benemerenze acquistate nella guerra di Candia ed a seguito della consueta elargizione di cento mille ducati. La famiglia Pozza ha avuto, invece, origine e prima dimora in Lombardia. Oriunda di Cremona ma derivata da una antichissima e nobile stirpe milanese, la famiglia Pozza si trasferì in Verona nel 1490, con un Bartolomeo, giureconsulto, che in quell'anno vi fungeva l'ufficio di giudice. L'unione tra le due famiglie deve essere avvenuta per via matrimoniale ma purtroppo la storia non ci ha tramandato la data esatta di tale avvenimento.
