Ancienne et noble famille toscane, avec résidence dans la ville de Florence, répartie au cours des siècles dans diverses régions d'Italie. Cette famille s'est, toujours, illustrée pour les personnages importants, auxquels elle a donné naissance. Parmi ceux-ci, nous nous souvenons de: Luca, maître de conférences à l'Université royale de Naples, royal protomédical du royaume, comte palatin, conseiller promoteur de l'Accademia degli Spensierati, vivant en 1638; Don Bruno, abbé de Vallombrosa, né à Florence le 2 novembre 1656 et entré, en 1676, chez les moines de Vallombrosa, où il se consacra entièrement à la botanique et à l'histoire naturelle, décédé à l'âge de 87 ans le 29 janvier 1743 ; Giambattista, en 1758 lieutenant du gouvernement à Sassuolo, en 1765 à Finale, en 1768 capitaine de la raison à Garfagnana, en 1772 à Correggio, et quelques années plus tard lieutenant du gouvernement de Carpi ; le Dr D.
