Ancient and very noble Italian family from the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. Tradition has it that it originated from a gentleman from Capua named Francesco, secretary to King Carlo Lo Zoppo and then governor of the city of Sessa at the time of King Robert. During the time of Alfonso of Castile, the family moved to Sicily, settling in Palermo and Messina. This noble House has owned numerous fiefdoms, including: the lordship of Aliano with its castle, the lordship of Calanna with its farmhouses, the land of Fiumara di Mura, the estate of lands named Lo Fegotto. It also owned the Palermo tax office. Over time, this family has also distinguished itself for the excellence of its representatives.
