Moritz Lüscher 1540 Zofingen Glasmaler; Ruedi 1260 Wesel Minorit; Schwan 1381 Ölsnitz Schilter; alemannische Form zu mittelhochdeutsch aus liesche gleich Riedgras, geringes, in Notzeiten als Futter, sonst als Streu oder Bettfüllsel verwendetes Gras. Auch ein feuchtes, mit Liesch bewachsenes Grundstück heißt "das Liesch". Lüscher (Rundung unter romanischen Einfluß) ist daher einerseits der Lischesammler, anderseits der Insitzer oder Anlieger eines Liesch. Lüscher. Diesem Namen wird auch ein Adelskennzeichen zugeschrieben, das von dem nachstehenden Wappen dargestellt wird. Dies bestätigt ferner bei einer historisch- wappenkundlichen Deutung seiner Symbole die Gewißheit einer geschichtlichen Bedeutung der Familie durch Vermögen, Adel und Ansehen.
