Ancient Catalan lineage. Already in the year 1300 there was a solar house of this name in the town of Sanauja, in the Solsona judicial district (Lérida). There were also houses of this surname in the place of Mura and in the city of Vic (Barcelona), in the place of Mora and in the town of Falset (Tarragona).
