Sancho Ramírez, Señor de Peñacerrada, hermano entero de Don García Ramírez, el Restaurador, Rey de Navarra, y nieto, por lo tanto, del también Monarca navarro Don Sancho V, casó con doña Elvira Gómez (hija del Conde don Gómez González Salvadores y de su mujer doña Urraca Díaz, de la casa de Ansúrez), y tuvieron varios hijos, de los que fué primogénito Sancho Sánchez, primer Señor de A., villa de Navarra en el partido judicial de Estella, cuyo nombre tomaron por apellido sus descendientres, y que le había sido dada por su tío el Rey Don García Ramírez. Este Sancho Sánchez contrajo matrimonio con una hija del Conde de Comenge, de la que tuvo a Ramiro Sánchez, Señor de Solana y casa de Vidaurreta, que casó con doña Narbona Pérez (hija de Pedro Martínez, Señor de Subiza y rico-hombre de Navarra), y fueron padres de Sancho Ramírez de A., primero que aparece con el apellido A. unido al patronímico Ramírez, tomado del nombre de su padre. Este Sancho fué Señor de Solana y casa de Vidaurreta, casó con doña Ana de Leet, y tuvo de ella a Ramiro Sánchez de Arellano, rico-hombre de Navarra y Señor de A., Ayló , Uxue y Valtierra, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Elvira Azuárez, Señora de Verdún, Ergu y otros lugares de Aragón, donde era llamada la rica-hembra, naciendo de ese enlace los siguientes Juan Ramírez de A. el Noble, que sigue y Pedro Ramírez de A., rico-hombre de Navarra en 1364. Murió en 1385 y fué sepultado en Santa María, de Fitero. ...
