Linaje de Mallorca. El antiguo solar estuvo en Felantix, de donde fue trasladado a Palma a mediados del siglo XVIII. Jaime A. fue gran conseller por el estamento de ciudadanos en 1479. Antonio A. en 1563 desempeñó el mismo cargo, y el de síndico clavario de la parte forense. Pedro Antonio A., sacerdote jesuíta, murió en las misiones del Paraguay, en 1758, en olor de santidad. El doctor Salvador A. fue uno de los letrados más sabios de su tiempo, catedrático de leyes en Palma y canónigo penitenciario de aquella catedral. El doctor Juan Antonio A. y Suán fue también catedrático de Palma, gobernador interino de Ibiza y oidor de la real audiencia de Mallorca. Otro jesuíta, el padre Juan A., cultivó los estudios arabistas. Murió asesinado en Madrid en el motín del 18 de julio de 1834. ...
