Con las denominaciones de Hera, Heras o de las Heras, este apellido se halla muy extendido por España. De Navarra fué Martín Fernández de las H, que en el año 1791 compareció ante el Tribunal de Navarra, y en nombre propio y en el de sus hijos Francisco, Pablo y Juana vecinos todos de Piedramillera, villa del partido judicial de Estella, solicitó que, como sextos nietos de Juan Fernández de las H., se les concediesen las mismas regalías y honores que tuvo aquél, lo que se mandó así. En la ciudad de Frías, del partido judicial de Briviesca (Burgos), y en su barrio llamado de Quintanaseca, hubo otra casa de las H. Una línea pasó a la villa de Labastida, del partido judicial de Laguardia (Álava), y a ella pertenecieron Antonio Isidoro de las H. Iriarte y Eduardo de las H. Iriarte, Abogado de los Reales Consejos y Alcade Mayor de Belchite (Zaragoza), hermanos, que el 3 de Diciembre de 1777, obtuvieron Real provisión de hidalguía en la Chancillería de Vallodolid. El 31 de Julio de 1890 se concedió el título de Marqués de Blegua a favor de doña María Joaquina de H. Mergelina Valdespino, y Barreda, hermana de doña María Luisa, a quien le fué otorgado el título de Condesa de Ballobar, el 10 de Enero de 1890. El 27 de Septiembre de 1746 ganó Real ejecutoria de hidalguía, en al Chancillería de Valladolid, Tomás de H. cuya hija casó con Francisco Camba y Soria, de los Marqueses de Fuentedepiedra. ...
