Known as Knorr, Khnorr or Knor, this illustrious family was ennobled with the predicate of Rosenroth or Rozmrottu, in the person of Dr Lorenz Knorr or Knor, by the emperor Ferdinand I, because of the valuable services rendered by him and his father to the imperial family, with a diploma given on July 27, 1549. With other diploma given on April 16, 1624, this nobility was confirmed to: Adam K., abbot of Prince Stiftes Neuberg in Steyer, Cristoph K., apostolic protonotary and court chaplain, to Captain Elias and to Johann K.
