Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Yvon, vivant en 1481, père de Charles, vivant en 1500, marié à Catherine de Keraudy, dont: Guillaume, marié à Marie du Coëtlosquet, auteur des seigneurs de Launay; Louis, marié à Marie Gourcuff, auteur des seigneurs de Kerandraon. La branche aînée fondue dès le XVème siècle dans Kervennec, d'où la terre de la Roche-Héron a passé par acquêt aux le Gall, et successivement par alliance aux Conan, Guillotou, le Gualés et Potier de Courcy. La branche de Kerandraon a produit un page du comte d'Artois en 1772, puis enseigne de vaisseau, blessé au mémorable combat de la Bellepoule, en 1778, mort en 1822, contre-amiral et commandeur de Saint-Louis. Autre branche illustre de cette famille: Jean, de la baillie de Cornouaille, devait un chevalier à l'ost du duc en 1294. La branche de Kerbiléau, possédait la charge héreditaire de fauconnier des vicomtes de Léon au XIIIème siècle; la branche aînée fondue dans Rostrenen, puis Quélenec, Rosmadec et Mescouëz en faveur de qui la seigneurie de la Roche a été érigée en marquisat, l'an 1576. Ce marquisat a été possédé depuis par les familles Coêtanezre, du Chastel, Huchet, du Bot du Grégo et d'Amphernet de Pontbellanger. ...
