Noble familia de Cataluña, a la que perteneció Ramón L., que pasó a la conquista de Mallorca, y en el reparto general de tierras se le asignó la alquería Binastrón, de doce yugadas, en el término de Pollensa, que en el siglo XIX poseyó Antonia Blunasar de Campanet, y el rahal Aliebiti, de dos yugadas, cerca de Palma. Otro Ramón L. fue jurado en 1295 y 1298, y Ramón L. y Erill, hijo del conquistador, fue senescal del rey don Jaime II de Mallorca, y gran filósofo, llamado Trompeta del Espíritu Santo, venerado en los altares con el nombre de beato Ramón L., muerto mártir en Bugía, en1315. Domingo L. sirvió a los reyes de Mallorca, y Gerardo L., señor de Beniatron, prestó en 1343, juramento y homenaje al rey don Pedro IV de Aragón, como diputado por la villa de Uyalfas, hoy La Puebla. Antonio L. y Ballester fue jurisconsulto, teólgo y catedrátido de la universidad de Dola, en el Franco-Condado. Murió en Besancon (Francia), en 1582. La rama de esta familia que poseía en Manacor la hacienda y caballería de los L., acabó y sucedió en ella la de Ballester, y a éste el conde de Ayamans. ...
