Nobility crown LoboEl Obispo de Orense, don Serando, gran genealogista, que floreció en los primeros tiempos de la reconquista, dice que el apellido L. procede de un Infante llamado Charamo, hijo de Cayo Lobia, cuya hija, Caya Valeria, casó con Privano, hijo de la Reina Lupa, o Loba. En las genealogías originales de Mendoza se dice que los L. de Asturias proceden de un caballero godo que acompañó a don Pelayo desde Covadonga, y fundó casa en el Concejo de Aller, dejando descendencia en Castilla, de la que procedieron Condes, y en Portugal, Barones. Otra casa de este apellido radicó en la villa de Navarrete del partido judicial de Logroño, y de ella fué Diego L. de Castrillo, natural de Navarrete, esposo de doña Catalina Martínez, de igual naturaleza, y ambos padres de Juan L. de Castrillo y Martínez, natural de Navarrete, que casó con doña Isabel de Cariutón, de la misma naturaleza (hija de Pedro de Caritón y de doña Francisca Miguel de Lizana, ambos de Navarrete). Fueron padres de Francisco L. de Castillo y Caritón, natural de Navarrete, Secretario del Rey en el Consejo de Italia y Caballero de la Orden de Santiago, en la que ingresó el 22 de Enero de 1624. Otra casa de L. hubo en la ciudad de Segovia, cuyos blasones se describen en el libro "Becerro de Castilla", y reproduce Frías de Albornoz. Miguel de Salazar dice que en la villa de Añover de Tajo, del partido judicial de Illescas (Toledo), hubo L. que eran pecheros. ...
